It has been developed for people who assist teachers in the education / disability field, with the aim of including the student with a disability in the mainstream classroom. Major Studies: Frameworks for Integration Support; Advanced Skills in Integration Support; Literacy and Numeracy Support. Entry Requirements: Nil. The course is suitable for those currently working in this area, as well as for those with a desire to work with students with a disability in an education setting. Course Duration: 3 modules. 24 hours class time for each module. Courses commence at various times through the year at various venues. Mode of Study: Part-time; morning, evening and full day sessions available. Accreditation: State Training Board (Victoria). The combined modules provide credit for six competencies from the Community Services Training Package (CHC99). Course Outcomes: Integration Aide in pre-school, primary and secondary school settings.
