Course Description: Security is a rapidly growing profession involving the strategic application of resources to protect and management assets in a broad range of environments. This course combines a comprehensive theoretical education, practical training and professional development necessary for a career in security.

Major Studies:  Psychology; Criminal Law; Legal Process; Information security; Facility management.

Entry Requirements:  Not based on ENTER score alone, but on other criteria such as ability to complete the program satisfactorily and demonstrated interested in this particular field on study

Course Duration / Commencement dates: Three years full time, or six years part-time - Semester One, 2003  - Annual intake

Mode of Study: F/T, P/T,Day or evening

Accreditation: Accredited by the Victorian Department of Education

Articulation / Credit Transfer Arrangements: Credit transfers may be available for Non-Year 12 students who have completed relevant subjects in another tertiary course. Each credit transfer decision will be made on a case by case basis, and subject exemptions granted accordingly.

Career Outcomes: Security divisions in public and private enterprises; private security management; emergency management; security, health and safety; risk and hazard management
